Triangle Backstamps
These are the three main variations of the rubber stamped Triangle backstamp used on Susie Cooper Pottery between 1929 and 1931.

This Triangle Mark with "A Susie Cooper Production" in capital letters surrounded by a black triangle is the most common of the triangle marks found today. It was used between 1930 and 1932. Being rubber stamped in black the Triangle marks are occasionally smudged and can be difficult to read.

This very rare version of the rubber stamped Triangle backstamp bears the words "Tunstall England" below the triangle and signifies that the item was produced by the George Street Pottery Works, Tunstall in October 1929 from the single firing that occurred there before Susie Cooper had to vacate the premesis after three weeks when the landlord went bust.

The Triangle mark can also be found with the words "Burslem England" below the black triangle. This indicates the item was produced by the Chelsea Works between 1930 and 1931.
